Celebrate the completion of our season and be on hand as we introduce our new
Artistic & Executive Director!
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Stephen Gorbos will become our new Artistic and Executive Director on June 1. Current A&ED A. Scott Wood will leave those roles, but remain as Conductor of the Amadeus Orchestra.
Dr. Gorbos has been Associate Professor and Chair of the Music Theory, History, and Composition Department in the Rome School of Music, Drama and Art at The Catholic University of America. Dr. Gorbos will be stepping down from his tenured professorship at Catholic University in August, 2025.
An alumnus of Cornell University, Yale University, and Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Gorbos founded and currently runs the Little City Concerts series in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Gorbos brings to Amadeus Concerts his extensive experience in composition, music education, and arts administration.
Your first chance to meet Dr. Gorbos in person is at the Gala Garden Party on Sunday, May 16 at 4:00pm in Great Falls!
You’ll enjoy fellowship, refreshment, music from Scott and Stephen, and the opportunity to talk about the future for Amadeus.
